Assignment
The student is immersed in a user-centered design process to enhance the PeopleGrove platform’s usability and accessibility. Provided with user research data from PG, the student will leverage insights to inform UX design solutions, including prototyping and usability evaluation.

Takeaways
Working with a real client provided me with invaluable experience. I learned how essential it is to communicate with clients early on in the design process to ensure that I completely understand the company’s identity/objectives and its purpose in seeking out my services.
Identifying and recruiting users to participate in the research project is incredibly important, but can be so much more difficult than I anticipated. The pool of participants that were available to me was insufficient, and the research methods that I was able to implement did not provide me with actionable data.
I identified user pain points, but I am unsure of how successfully my design met user needs due to a shallow participant pool. In addition, because of the nature of the assignment, I was unable to conduct a usability study and iterate on my design.
